Reports reaching from across the border said Bisharad, Mozen, Ismail and Kokhan, all in early 20s, were beaten to death by the villagers at Gazna under Hashkhali, about 5-km inside Indian territory. The villagers claimed the victims engaged in theft or dacoity.

BDR Sector Commander Col Deedar said they have heard about it but could not confirm till late Monday night if the victims are Bangladeshi nationals. The BSF have been contacted to inform the details of the victims, he added.

Jibannagar border villagers said that residents of Gazna village across the border have informed about the death of four young men with names. No other details were available.
