Abu Sayeed Chy's death anniversary today
The 17th death anniversary of former President Justice Abu Sayeed Chowdhury will be observed today, says a press release.On the occasion, a Qurankhwani and milad mahfil will be held at Nagbari in Tangail. Relatives, admirers and friends have been requested to pray for the salvation of his departed soul. Justice Chowdhury played a very significant role in mobilising world opinion in favour of the War of Liberation in 1971. He was elected chairman of United Nations Human Rights Commission in 1985.
