Project to compile digital national biography

The Asiatic Society of Bangladesh has undertaken a project to compile a digital national biography, which will include the biographical accounts of all past and present personalities of the nation.The Banglapedia Trust, an organ of the Asiatic Society, has taken the responsibilities of financing and implementing the project. The objective of the project is to collect and preserve the biographical accounts of all who have made distinctive contributions in their respective fields of thought and activities, and then store them in a dynamic database so that it can provide latest information of a subject, said a press release. This online reference tool will be launched in the first week of February next.
