JSJ to observe 'Resistance Day'

The Jahangirnagar Sangskritik Jote (JSJ) will observe the 'Day of Resistance to Killer-Rapist' today with a daylong programme.

The Jahangirnagar Theatre, a member of Bangladesh Group Theatre Federation, will stage a drama titled 'Newtoner Tritio Sutra' at the Muktamanch (amphitheatre) following a recitation programme by Dhwani at around 7:00pm. A film titled 'God Must Be Crazy' will also be screened after the drama.

A rally will also be brought out on the campus at 11:00am to mark the day.

On this day in 1999, general students of the Jahangirnagar University drove the killers and rapists aligned with Bangladesh Chhatra League from the dormitories.
