Fast growing metropolis

It is indeed heartening that Dhaka is one of the fastest growing cities of the world. It is amazing that Dhaka would soon be a megacity, much bigger in size and population. But the necessary infrastructure, facilities and amenities are absent here and there is no integrated and coordinated move to make this city a nice place to live in. Anyone stepping into Dhaka from other cities of the world or even our neighbouring country would feel that Dhaka is a chaotic and most undisciplined city lacking the minimum facilities of modern life. Nowhere in the modern world railway tracks run through the city, interrupting the movement of the vehicles and creating severe traffic problem.So, concerted and integrated planning and action are urgently needed to solve the problems of Dhaka city.
