Nazrul, Mayenul elected FBUTA president, secy general

Prof Mohammad Nazrul Islam of Rajshahi University and Dr Mayenul Islam of Open University have been elected president and secretary general of the Federation of Bangladesh University Teachers' Association (FBUTA).The election held at the Teacher-Student Centre (TSC) on Saturday night. Other office-bearers are Vice Presidents: Prof Aminul Haque of Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (Buet), Dr Mohammad Sajedul Karim of Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (Sust) and Prof Habiba Khatun of Dhaka University (DU), Treasurer: Mohammad Yasin Ali of Khulna University (KU), Joint Secretary General: AKM Matinur Rahman of Islamic University (IU). Prof Ahmed Fazle Hasan Chowdhury and Prof Kazi Ahmed Nabi of Chittagong University (CU) and Prof AAMS Arefin Siddique and Prof Mohammad Aktheruzzaman of DU have been elected members.
