Banglalink launches Upper Class package

Banglalink yesterday announced the launch of a new package, "Upper Class", for its post- paid subscribers.

"We know that people always want things that make their lives easier and better," Banglalink Chief Executive Officer Lars P Reichelt told reporters at a briefing in Dhaka.

The package will be available in the market from next week, Reichelt added.

The tariff plan of the package is Tk 150 for mobile to mobile (M2M), Tk 200 for mobile to mobile with fixed phone incoming (M2M Plus), and Tk 250 for standard per month. The subscription fee is Tk 1,500 for M2M and M2M plus and Tk 2,600 for standard package.

Subscribers will enjoy 50 percent discount on the monthly fee for usage between Tk 1,400 and Tk 1,900 a month. For the usage above Tk 1,900, line rent will be zero.

In terms of per minute call charges, Upper Class rates, both on-net and off-net, are again lower than any other operator in the market. Rates for Upper Class SMS have also been brought down significantly as low as Tk 1 for on-net, and Tk 1.75 for off-net.

There will be three Upper Class bundle free minute packages offering 200 minutes, 350 minutes and 600 minutes. M2M 200 minutes will cost Tk 650, 350 minutes Tk 950, 600 minutes Tk 1,300. A special hotline number '100' will be dedicated for Upper Class customers willing to make the call. Customers will be called back if they send an SMS to '120' and the Customer Care Call Back service will ensure that someone from Banglalink will call the customer back.

Customers will be able to know how much he has spent on phone call through SMS.
