July 05, 2005       Culture Bangladesh to participate in Turkish dance competition A team of 34 Bangladeshi artistes is going to participate in the 19th International Golden Karagoz Folk Dance Competition, taking place in Turkey, shortly, says a press release. The team will present an eight-minute-long theme dance. The presentation has been choreographed by renowned dancer Kabirul Islam Ratan. The dance presentation focuses the rural lifestyle and it also includes indigenous dance forms. 25 countries are expected to participate in the competition. The team is seen with Selima Rahman (C), State Minister of Cultural Affairs.
