First day, first take
Tanvin Sweety
I remember the day when Mamun ur Rashid cast me for his TV serial. Actually it was his wife who first noticed me in a commercial and wanted me to play the role of an indigenous girl in the drama serial Shundari. I was overwhelmed by the offer. However, I was very nervous at the rehearsal and could not perform well. Mamun ur Rashid was concerned about my performance. After six days of rehearsal I had to face the camera. My first shot was a monologue of about 500 words. I was determined to give a great performance this time. Watched over by the director, and my co-stars, I delivered the monologue and acted to the best of my ability. The shot was okayed in one take. An overwhelmed Mamun ur Rashid told me, "I thought that you are just a model. But now I know you are an actress as well." That was a milestone in my acting career.
