Freedom of expression

In democracy the press bring difficulties of the people to the notice of the government and give useful suggestions for removing them.

Our print media enjoys freedom. But our political culture is feudalistic and the colonial mentality still prevails. So journalists are facing all sorts of hazards while performing their duties.

The political culture must change before the freedom of expression becomes a meaningful proposition.
