Buet announces Tk39.96 crore budget for FY 2005-06

Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (Buet) has announced Tk 39.96 crore budget for FY 2005-06.Of the total amount, University Grants Commission will provide Tk 36.96 crore while the university will earn over Tk 3 crore from its own sources, said a press release. The budget envisages an expenditure of Tk 22.21 crore for salary and allowances of the teachers and staffs, Tk 4.79 crore for academic activities, Tk 6.68 crore for general activities and others while Tk 5.00 crore for pension. The Buet syndicate also passed the revised budget of Tk 35.68 crore for FY 2004-05.
