2 killed in road accident
Two truck labourers were killed and another one was injured in a road accident on Dhaka-Aricha highway in Manikganj yesterday. The victims were identified as Nabu Mia, 29, of Joyra village under sadar upazila and Lal Mia, 40, of Nayabari village under Saturia upazila. Police said the accident occurred when a brick-laden Manikganj-bound truck from Baniajuri hit a standing truck in front of Palli Bidyut Samity office at around 8:00am. The bodies were sent to Manikganj Sadar Hospital for autopsy.
