Citibank NA raises forex buying rate
In line with the government's strive to provide incentive for the exporters and foreign currency wage earners, Citibank NA Bangladesh has decided to increase its foreign currency buying rate with effect from July 2, 2005. The US dollar buying rate has been increased by 55 paisa per US dollar to the exporters' and non resident Bangladeshi remitters' benefit, says a press release. The present buying rate from the exporters against a unit of US dollar is Tk 64.57 and from the Bangladeshi workers abroad is Tk 64.60.
