Injured woman dies at DMCH

Another woman who suffered critical burns in the June 7 fighter crash died at Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) yesterday.Lily Begum, 50, was receiving treatment at the hospital's ICU Burn and Plastic Surgery Unit where she died at 9:25am, DMCH sources said. Earlier on June 13, her daughter Rowshan Ara died from burns she suffered in the plane crash at the same hospital. An F-7 MB fighter of Bangladesh Air Force (BAF) had nosedived into their house in Uttara in the capital. Rowshan accompanied by her mother was feeding her 18-month-old daughter Albina. The accident left four others injured, but the pilot, Ahsanul Kabir, cheated death by bailing out of the aircraft. Rowshan's husband Al Amin received Lily's body in presence of BAF officials from the DMCH yesterday. Morgue sources said they were not allowed to perform her autopsy.
