CHT Journo assaulted

A local reporter of the national daily Amar Desh and Chittagong daily Suprovat Bangladesh, was assaulted by the district unit coordinator of the Somo Odhikar Andolon (SOA) in front of the office of the deputy commissioner yesterday. In a GD (General Diary) filed with Kotwali thana, Elahi alleged that Moshiul Alam Humayun swooped on him when he was witnessing the SOA procession standing on the road at around 12:00 noon. Nearby colleagues rescued him from the scuffle. Police said the reason behind the assault might be 'personal'.
