Victoria back in contention

Victoria Sporting Club bounced back in the First Division Football League race for Premiership berths next year with a 5-0 drubbing of BRTC at the Birshreshtha Shaheed Mostafa Kamal Stadium in Kamalapur yesterday.Sohag netted twice while Bappi, Mithu and Gafur added one each as Victoria registered their fifth win in ten outings to stretch their tally to 18 points. Now at third place, Victoria are behind Rahmatganj and Badda Jagarani who have 25 and 20 points respectively. Three top first division teams will be promoted to the Premier League next year. BRTC lay third from bottom with nine points.
