Husband knocks wife off bridge?

A housewife met her tragic end when her husband allegedly knocked her off the China-Bangladesh Friendship Bridge on the river Buriganga yesterday. The deceased was identified as Lucky Begum, 22, wife of Nazrul Islam of 460 Jurain Medical Road under Shyampur Police Station. The members of army recovered the body and handed it over to Shyampur police. The Shyampur police informed Keraniganj police of the matter as the incident took place under their jurisdiction. Police said the housewife might have been murdered following an altercation with her husband over his extra-marital affairs. According to police and locals, the incident took place at around 5:00pm when Nazrul took his wife to the friendship bridge for a stroll. The body was sent to the Mitford Hospital morgue for autopsy. Police could not nab the killer husband as of 9:00pm yesterday.
