34 fishermen go missing in Cox's Bazar

The low-lying areas in Cox's Bazar have been inundated after a spell of heavy rain in the district due to a low pressure over the Bay of Bengal.

Meanwhile, eight incidents of boat capsize in Teknaf and Maheshkhali left 34 fishermen missing on Wednesday, raising the total number of missing fishermen in the last 48 hours to 45.

Hundreds of houses in Teknaf, Kutubdia, Maheshkhali, Cox's Bazar Sadar and Ramu upazilas have been flooded.
