I wrote once in The Daily Star in the early nineties why we should look East rather than West. I wrote to Bangladesh Board of Investment to open up our policies to attract foreign investment. I was telling all Bangladeshis, I meet in the US, the same thing that we need to change our mindset. Less government and free economy is the best thing that can happen to a developing nation. I provided examples of Southeast Asian nations-- how they have changed the face of the world and become respectable Asians to Europe and America.
