Indian held with pistol

An Indian national was arrested from a village near Benapole and arms and ammunition were seized from him yesterday.Police said, Nazrul Islam, 49, of Johrigram under Bongaon thana in 24 Parganas, India came to visit his father-in-law's house at Mainka village under Bahadurpur union in Sarsha thana on the day without any valid travel document. Police arrested him and recovered a one-shooter pistol and one round of bullet from his possession. Cases were lodged against him with Benapole Port Police Station, police said.
