4 kg explosives recovered in Satkhira: 4 held

Rab (Rapid Action Battalion) arrested four persons from Kuchpukur village in the Sadar upazil Monday night and recovered one shutter gun, four cartridges and four kilograms of bomb-making explosives from their possession. They are Rabiul Islam, Rafiqul Islam, Rashed Ali and Palash of Kuchpukur. They were sent to Khulna for interrogation, Rab sources said. In another raid Rab members arrested four persons including two activists allegedly belonging to a key coalition partner from Patkelghata bazaar in Tala upazila on the same night and recovered blue films from their possession. They are activists Altaf Hossain of Balrampur village and Mir Golam Mostafa of Khorddo village, shop owner Hassan and another person-- Abu Bakkar. They were handed over to Tala thana. According to Tala thana OC Shah Mashiur Rahman, the two party men had rented a shop in the market for CD business. But they had been supplying blue films. He said they confessed to police that they had been doing the illegal business.
