Hearing on acceptance of charge sheet May 9

A Sylhet court yesterday fixed May 9 for hearing on acceptance of the charge sheet in the bomb blast case in connection with the January 27 carnage of Habiganj that killed five people, including former finance minister Shah AMS Kibria. Judge Mohammad Azizul Islam of the Special Tribunal-I, Habiganj issued the order following a time petition filed by the complainant of the case Advocate MA Majid Khan. Advocate is also Organising Secretary of the district Awami League. The defence lawyer did not raise any objection. The court also fixed the same day for hearing on the bail prayers of Abdul Quaiyum, Jamir Ali, Momin, Tajul Islam and Shahed Ali.
