U-19 cricketers return home happy

The Bangladesh Under-19 cricket team returned home last night after a successful tour of Australia where they remained unbeaten in ten matches.

It could have been an all-win performance by the Bangladesh youths had they not tied the seventh match during the four-week tour.

Bangladesh, who played all their games in Queensland, began their campaign with impressive back-to-back victories against Australia U-19s before taking on different state selections.

In their last match on Saturday, the young Tigers handed a 61-run defeat on Queensland Academy of Sports (QAS).

Shamsur Rahman scored 108 -- his second century on the tour -- in Bangladesh's total of 248-7 in 50 overs. Mazhar contributed 37.

Later, Marshall Ayub captured four wickets for 17 as the visitors bowled the local side out for 187.
