Cabinet okays energy accord with China

The cabinet yesterday approved a proposal giving effect to an agreement signed between Bangladesh and China on peaceful uses of nuclear energy.Prime Minister Khaleda Zia presided over the weekly meeting of the cabinet in the cabinet conference room at the Prime Minister's Office (PMO) in the evening. The meeting directed the ministries and departments concerned to 'immediately implement' the unimplemented decisions of the cabinet meetings. The meeting discussed a report on implementation of the cabinet decisions. Cabinet ministers and state ministers in charge of different ministries attended the meeting.
