Debate festival at Rangamati

A two-day Jatiya Parbattya Bitorka Utsab (national debate festival for hill people), first such event in Chittagong Hill Tracts (CHT), began at Rangamati town yesterday.Debaters from across the country are taking party in the programnme, organised jointly by the National Debate Federation and Global Village, a Rangamati-based pro-environment organisation. Jiotirindriya Bidhipriya Larma alias Santu larma, chairman of CHT Regional Council and chief of Parbattya Chattgram Jono Sanghaty Samity, inaugurated the festival.
