Plan to set up ICUs at all medical college hospitals

Health and Family Welfare Minister Dr. Khandaker Mosharraf Hossain said the government would set up Intensive Care Unit at all the medical college hospitals.The minister was addressing at the 22nd annual conference of Bangladesh Society of Anesthesiologists (BSA) at Sheraton Hotel in the city on Friday. It was coincided by the general meeting, election and a scientific session with Prof SN Samad Chowdhury in the chair. The minister appreciated the significant role played by the anesthesiologists in the medical field and said the government would take necessary measurers to produce experienced anesthesiologists in the country. Later, BSA election commissioner Dr Abdul Hai announced the newly formed 24-member new committee with Prof M Khalilur Rahman and Dr AKM Azizul Haque as president and general secretary. State Minister for Health and Family Welfare Mizanur Rahman Sinha, Prof MA Hadi, Prof AZM Zahid Hossain and Dr AKM Azizul Haque spoke among others.
