Lance Corporal Rafiqul Islam of Rangpur Area won the gold medal in the 5000-metre race of the Bangladesh Army Athletics competition that began yesterday at the Bangladesh Army Stadium.Ten teams from different formations of Army are participating in 28 events of the eight-day competition. On the opening day, apart from the 5000-metre race, the final of javelin throw was held in which Sainik Al Amin of Comilla Area clinched the gold medal.
