Malaysian co to invest $6.5 lakh in Ctg EPZ
A Malaysian electronic company will set up an industrial unit at Chittagong Export Processing Zone. The company will invest $6.5 lakh for the cent percent foreign owned electronic industrial unit which will produce 120,000 pieces of electronic fencers, 50,000 pieces of test instruments, 20 million pieces of insulator and 300 pieces of power line faultfinders annually. A lease agreement to this effect was signed between the Bangladesh Export Processing Zones Authority (BEPZA) and M/s Vextronic (Bangladesh) Limited, the proposed company, in Dhaka on Wednesday. General Manager (Investment Promotion) of BEPZA AZM Azizur Rahman and Sitara Shah of Vextronic (BD) signed the deal on behalf of their organisations, says a press release.
