Police are yet to arrest Noman Kadar, son of BNP lawmaker Ali Kadar of Jessore-1 constituency. Noman is accused of beating up a traffic constable. Police sources said Noman could hide in houses of high-profile people, where police hesitate to raid. Noman and his associates beat up traffic constable Abdul Majid on Manik Mia Avenue on Wednesday after he stopped Noman's car for defying the red signal. A police team led by the investigation officer (IO) yesterday raided different places in the city to arrest Noman, after a case was filed against him. "We are determined to find Noman and are continuing our drives to arrest him," said Rezaul Islam, the IO of the case. Meanwhile, local police in Jessore have been instructed to arrest Noman, police said.
