A noble gesture

March 23, TV interview on Khilgaon Flyover opening: Mr. Saber Hossain Choudhury, Awami League leader, expressed his discontentment over government's execution of the flyover project by dropping the loop no. 2 of the bridge as was included in the original plan by the past government. A longer time was taken to implement the project, which according to all has caused so much sufferings to neighboring population and led to substantial cost overrun as well. But the most important point is that Mr. Saber Hossain expressed his overall satisfaction that finally the project has been completed to ensure better communication. An appreciative gesture on the part of an opposition leader for any job done by the government is always a good thing. I congratulate Mr. Saber Hossain for the position taken by him without fear or favour. We need more politicians like him.
