Let's build Bangladesh

“Be great in act, as you have been in thought -- suit the action to the word and the word to the action," said Shakespeare, one of the greatest writers in world history. As 'great speakers in Bangladesh are very often little doers', we the students, should come forward to push the nation to our prospective destination.

Now, our capability is acquired by education that helps us to be better human beings.

Socrates said in this respect, "Virtue and wisdom come from education", while wisdom gives a long good life, happiness, pleasure, honour and peace. We have to be the best citizens through our best performances or contributions because we are privileged with many facilities, being students.

Most students go to college or university just to get a certificate that would secure them a job. But by making the best use of our knowledge, courage, unity, strength, wisdom and all other virtues for greater welfare of people in general, we can develop the social, economic, political and cultural conditions of our country.

We can also create awareness among the illiterate persons on different aspects of life, such as health, child-marriage, dowry, demerits of superstitions and drugs, laws against immoral activities, over population, education and how to tackle the natural calamities with confidence, diligence and patience.

Now let us have a glance at the political situation of our country. Any sort of politics should be beneficial for mankind. We all should get united against hartals on the campus. It's a matter of great regret and shame that political leaders pretty often try to involve general students in political activities by force. I do not mean to attack anyone personally.

Students are often tempted with money and power by the leaders, and gradually they end up being terrorists creating violence on campus. The ultimate result is nothing but a horrible life.

In order to repay the debt of the nation, we should stand by our countrymen during any crisis. If we're able to rectify our morality and attitudes towards life, I believe it will not be that hard to make Bangladesh a better place to live in.
