Valuables worth Tk 2 lakh looted from city house

Thieves took away cash and gold ornaments worth about Tk 2 lakh from a house at Uttara in the city on Wednesday night.The thieves entered the 1st floor flat of ASM Shah Alam, a private company executive, at Road No.-18 breaking open a window grille sometime between 8:00pm and 10:00pm, police said. Police arrested three security guards of the house on suspicion of their involvement but could not recover any stolen items. The arrestees are Ziaul Haq, Emdadul Haq and Mohammad Helal.
