Top level changes in civil admin

The government yesterday brought important changes at the top level of the civil administration through transfer and fresh appointment, says an official notification.Secretary of the Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism Kazi Abul Kashem has been appointed as secretary of the Ministry of Agriculture. The post of agriculture secretary fell vacant on March 17 following the appointment of ASM Abdul Halim as secretary of the Ministry of Establishment. Chairman of Bangladesh Petroleum Corporation (BPC) Abdul Karim has been made secretary-in-charge of the Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism. None was appointed as chairman of BPC. Director General of Bangladesh Rural Development Board Abdur Rashid Sarkar has been appointed as secretary-in-charge of the Ministry of Women and Children Affairs. Mortuza Hossain Munshi, acting secretary of the ministry, has been made chairman of Land Reform Board. Barrister Mohammad Haidar Ali, who was the chairman of Land Reform Board, has been appointed as secretary-in-charge of the Ministry of Textile and Jute.
