BDR fired one round of blank shot when BSF personnel on Thursday tried to fence the border near Ramgar. No casualty, however, was reported. Following the incident, a company commander level flag meeting took place between the two sides. Though the Indians at the meeting agreed not to proceed with the fencing, a tense situation has been prevailing in the bordering areas.

Earlier on Wednesday, BDR foiled another attempt at Kashibari border point under Ramgar.
