Attention: PSC

I am appearing in the 25th BCS written examinations. Our Bangladesh Affairs exam was held on 10th February,2005.After coming back home I discussed with my friend over phone about how was the exam and about the next one. Her centre was Dhaka College. She told me that everyone of her centre was telling that BCS maths and general science question papers had been leaked out on that day. The examiners of a centre situated at Sukrabad mistakenly gave maths and general science questions to the candidates on the same day. At first both of us thought it might be a rumour. So we concentrated on our preparation. Our maths exam was rescheduled for hartal on 14 February then our exam was held on 24 February--14 days after the day when that rumour spread out. On 24 February, I went to my centre. There I saw some candidates reading some few hand written questions, two or three were reading some 4 /5 pages photocopy sheets. I was a bit surprised.

As our syllabus was unlimited, so normally we didn't get time to make hand notes of science questions. Then after the exam I came back home and phoned some of my friends who were also candidates. When I informed them about hand written answers, they also told that they had seen the same thing in their centres and thought how could they get time to make hand notes? Then we thought that questions might have been leaked out.

Our suspicion was proved right when we saw newspapers next day. There were lots of proof in favour of the argument that it had been leaked. We also came to know that maths question papers were given mistakenly during the Bangladesh Affairs exam in one centre. If it is true then why didn't PSC change the question papers? They knew that the maths question paper was given to the candidates, then why did they take our exam on the same questions?

Those who got questions would easily get 90 up marks. Then what is our fault? Why should we lag behind those who got question papers? Our Constitution has mentioned in Article 29 that "There shall be equality of opportunity for all citizens in respect of employment or office in the service of the republic."

If some candidates get question papers, then where is the equality? So I request the PSC to cancel the exams and take proper steps so that next time the question papers cannot be leaked out.
