Bidyut, Lajuk let off lightly

The players' status committee of the Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) yesterday brokered a truce between Muktijoddha and Abahani regarding the possession of Azmol Ahmed Biddyut and Zillur Rahman Lajuk.

Both Bidyut and Lajuk were found guilty of taking money from Abahani and Muktijoddha during the inter-club players' transfers last November and were subsequently suspended by the BFF.

However, the players' status committee headed by Akhter Hossain took a lenient stance after both clubs withdrew their case in a meeting yesterday.

Midfielder Biddyut will now play for his old club Muktijoddha while Abahani will get the services of left-back Lajuk.
