Raising a point of order in the Jatiya Sangsad yesterday, the communications minister said that the finance ministry has yet to release any funds in the current fiscal for development works of roads in different districts. He said the dry season between December and March is the appropriate time for the development works.

Jamaat-e-Islami lawmaker Shahjahan Chowdhury said the finance ministry usually releases funds during the rainy season when rough weather and rain hamper the development works of roads.
