20 students to vie for each seat

Around 20 students will vie for each seat of the first year honours courses in Dhaka University under 2004-05 academic session.A total of 88,382 forms were sold under four units till yesterday against 4,388 seats. Of them, 20252 forms were sold for Ka unit (science group), 16505 forms for Kha unit (arts group), 21515 forms for Ga unit (commerce group), and 30110 forms for Gha unit (combined group). The university authorities earned Tk 2,20,95,500 by selling the forms through three branches of different banks on the campus. Tomorrow is the last date for submission of forms. Admission tests of Ga unit will be held on January 14, Ka unit on February 4, Gha unit on February 11, and Kha unit on February 18.
