Joy to work for AL in next polls

Sajeeb Wazed Joy, son of Awami League President and Leader of the Opposition Sheikh Hasina yesterday said he would work with party men at the next general elections to motivate the people."The opposition party should go ahead with a target of winning the next polls to free people from the present nightmare," he said in a discussion meeting with Awami Swechchhasebok League at his mother's Sudha Sadan residence. "We have to work unitedly to fulfil the aspiration of people," Joy said, adding, "I want to serve the country and do whatever necessary for the countrymen." "We must bring back democracy and civility in country's politics," said Joy, with his American spouse Christina seated beside. Presided over by Awami Swechchhasebok League President Bahauddin Nasim, the meeting was also addressed by Vice-president PM Shafiqul Islam, Mahabubul Huq Talukder and General Secretary Pankaj Devnath. The speakers called upon Joy to join politics. Later in a meeting with Bangladesh Chhatra League, Joy said he would do whatever necessary to realise the ideals of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
