Oil tankers derail in Comilla

Train service on Dhaka-Chittagong route remained suspended for about seven hours after four empty oil tankers derailed at the rail gate near Comilla station yesterday afternoon.

Hundreds of passengers were stranded on both sides until a rescue train from Laksham reached the spot and cleared the line, salvaging the tankers at around 8:30pm.

No-one was hurt in the accident.
