First appearance in the entertainment world
His entry into the entertainment world was not planned. In 1991, he participated in the Tower Fashion Show. Soon after this, he was asked to participate in a commercial. It was an ad of Garlic Oil directed by Afzal Hossain. That was the starting point. 'I feel proud that I got the chance to work with the pioneering director,' says Pallab. He has done almost 65 commercials. Some of them got huge popularity like HRC Tea, Berger Paint, Tibet Coconut Oil, Nirala Green Ball Soap.

bout modeling
' A good model should have the talent, quality and music sense,' says Pallab. He thinks that the experience of fashion shows helped him a lot as a model. He has also done some radio and stage programmes which helped him in this line of work.

About acting
Although he started his career in modeling, Pallab is busy with acting also. He appeared as an actor in the first package drama Prachir Periya in 1995, which was written and directed by Mustafizur Rahman. Then he acted in the popular TV plays like Jekhane Shimanto(drama), Nishshanga Gangchil, Brishtir Shabdo (telefilm), Hajar Ranger Shwapna, Boishakhi Jhar (serial). Acting in commercial films
'The mainstream commercial films never appealed to me. However, now my views have changed. If I get good scripts and good directors to work with, I would like to be a regular in mainstream films,' says Pallab. He strongly believes that in the next two or three years, our films will reach a pinnacle.

Own production house
'When I decided to be professional performer, I set up a production house of my own. It is called Universal Production. A number of TV plays like Shwapner Campus, Harek Rakam Jibon have been made through my organisation' says Pallab.

Latest ventures
Recently, he has done the commercial of Tata Flour and has been acting in the drama serial Mohona. 'It is a milestone for me. The character is akin to my own personality,' says Pallab.
