Pizza Hut celebrates 1st yr with special meal offer


Pizza Hut yesterday announced an exclusive meal offer for Tk 99 celebrating its first year in Bangladesh.

Speaking at a press meet at Gulshan-1 yesterday Akku Chowdhury, head of Operations of Transcom Foods Limited, said the offer includes a personal pan pizza and two slices of plain garlic bread and will continue till the end of this month.

Transcom Foods Limited, a concern of Transcom Group, is the franchisee of Pizza Hut in Bangladesh.

Reviewing the performance of the first year Chowdhury said, "During the first one year, we served a number of 3.20 lakh customers at Gulshan outlet."

The company has achieved a solid customer base through selling 1.5 lakh pieces of pizzas this year, he added.

"Due to the rising demand for the food connoisseurs, the restaurant introduced 10 new items to its regular menu including pan pizza, Italian pizza, soups, beverages and pasta in July, last year," he said.

For the hospitality and excellence in food quality, YUM! International, parent company of Pizza Hut, has selected the restaurant to be a member of Club MilleniYUM! and its Bangladesh team also won "Moment of Truth" awards, Chowdhury added.

The restaurant, located at South Avenue of Gulshan-1 in Dhaka, remains open from 12:00 noon to 12:00 midnight everyday with the seating capacity of 230 customers and a play area for the children.

Pizza Hut, a flagship brand of Yum! Restaurants International, has 30,000 restaurants in 120 countries.

At the end of the press meet, the restaurant entertained the audiences with cultural performances and a group of TV artistes cut a cake to celebrate the restaurant's anniversary.
