BCB wants to get closer to team

The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has decided to talk exclusively with the team's think-tank ahead of the forthcoming home series against India. The decision was taken in a meeting at the Board's Gulshan office yesterday.

"The Board president and advisors will discuss with selectors, coach and captain on December 7 about the series. We are very worried with our team's performance that's why we want to talk to them," said Reazuddin Al Mamun, chairman of the BCB's media committee.

He said that they had called the special meeting following the Tigers' recent poor performances.

The BCB also decided to hold two one-day matches between Bangladesh and Zimbabwe next month at the newly approved Chittagong Divisional Stadium instead of in Bogra.

The matches (January 27 and 28) were originally scheduled for Bogra's Shaheed Chandhu Stadium but the venue failed to get International Cricket Council (ICC) approval following a report by West Indian match referee Clive Lloyd.

Mamun also informed that a media manager had been appointed.

"Mohsina will work as a media manager and she is expected to join in the middle of this month," he added.
