Huda slams indiscriminate digging of roads

Work on a tunnel road from Shaheed Jahangir Gate to Agargaon intersection will start in March next under a plan for minimising traffic jam and easing transport movement along the Old Airport Road."Dhaka Transport Coordination Board (DTCB) has already finalised the process of implementing the project which is likely to be completed in next two years," said an official announcement yesterday. Communications Minister Nazmul Huda presided over a meeting on the progress of Dhaka Urban Transport Project (DUTP) for developing road infrastructure and transport system in the capital at his ministry yesterday.
