The month of December has its own significance as the month of victory and festivity. As cultural groups gear up to celebrate this momentous occasion, the Palakar Studio Theatre will also come forward to add more colour to this gleeful spree. A six-day long festival, organised by Palakar from December 3 to 8, will be held to observe its first anniversary of studio theatre. Eminent theatre exponent Sayeed Ahmed will inaugurate the festival.Palakar aims to promote the concept of the high quality studio theatre in the country.The group always tries to present a unique feast of culture whether in the field of drama or music. Their current festival is arrayed with kaleidoscopic programmes containing Lokogan (folk song), Baul song, Bangla film songs, songs of drama and a good number of plays. Apart from Palakar's three lab-acts, Dhaka University, Jahangirnagar University and Prachyanat will perform research-based plays. The programme will be held daily at 6:30pm at 32/A , Diluroad. Tickets for the programme will be available at the festival premises during the shows.
