Rejoinder, our reply
Director General (DG) of Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) and now defunct Bureau of Anti-Corruption (Bac) Abdul Matin has contradicted part of a report headlined 'Govt interference led to Bac failure' published in The Daily Star on Monday. He said his speech was misinterpreted by saying that government interference or hindrance had resulted in the failure of Bac.OUR REPLY
The DG's speech was delivered before the ACC officials and staff on Sunday and the following day several national dailies carried similar reports on this. We, therefore, stand by our report.
