Kanika Bandopadhyay Memorial Competition


The result of the Kanika Bandopadhyay Memorial Competition was declared recently in Kolkata. The competition, targetted at young talents in Rabindra Sangeet, had three winners: Indrani Das from India scored the first place in the competition while Bangladeshi contestant S M Khaled Ibn Akhtar Piyal won the second prize and Shamarpita Sarkar from India secured the third place. The competition is a joint venture by Mitali Indo-Bangladesh Cultural Society in collaboration with Bangladeshi theatre group Padatik Natya Shangshad. The competition was held at the Shishir Mancha recently.
