Acid thrower held

One person was arrested from Bara Kupat village in Shyamnagar upazila on Monday on charge of throwing acid on his sister-in-law. The arrested person is Narayan Chandra Mondal, son of Sharat Chandra Mondal. Police told this correspondent, the victim, Prabhati Rani Mandol, 14, daughter of Dinesh Mondal of Atulia village in Shyamnagar upazila received serious acid burn injuries when a group of miscreants led by Narayan threw acid on her on October 4.
