Former PDB engineer faces corruption case


The Bureau of Anti-Corruption (BAC) here on Monday filed a case against former executive engineer of Bangladesh Power Development Board (PDB), Satkhira for acquiring property illegally beyond his income.

The accused is Mujibar Rahman who is spending his retired life at Nirala housing estate in Khulna.

On receipt of allegations, the Prime Minister's Office and the BAC in separate orders asked the accused to give statements of property of himself and his family members, according to Satkhira BAC office sources.

Accordingly he submitted an statement concealing his actual earnings. After an investigation BAC detected his earning to be Tk 25,34,035, beyond his legal income.
