7 Indians pushed back

Seven Indian nationals were pushed back through Panchagarh border in the early hours yesterday.Local BDR (Bangladesh Rifles) Commander Lt Col Mustafizur Rahman said the Indian nationals were pushed back at 2-30am. They are Amena Begum ,45, her two daughters and four boys. They told BDR that the Indian border guards pushed them at gunpoint through Harinamari border at dead of night on October 30. Sources said the BSF (Border Security Force) have assembled several hundred Indian Muslims at different points of Baliadanga border to push them into Bangladesh. Another report from Panchagar said lathi-banshi (stick and whistle) committees have been formed at the frontier villages to resist Indian push-in bids.
